An asset-based partner you can count on.

We own the trucks, the trailers and the chassis. That ownership translates into accountability. When you call our dispatch line, you’re talking to the people responsible for the equipment under your freight, not a broker chasing capacity on a load board.

Built for international shippers.

Most of our outbound truckloads originate at the Port of Virginia. We understand the rhythm of ocean cargo (the documentation, the customs holds, the chassis pools) and we plan around them so your inland leg never becomes the weakest link.

Four service lines. One accountable dispatch team.

01 · Full Truckload

FTL — the whole trailer, your freight only.

Full Truckload service is the right answer when you’re shipping a large quantity, an oversized single item, or freight that shouldn’t share space with someone else’s product. Late-model tractors, low driver turnover, and real-time tracking keep FTL moves predictable, including expedited and same-day capacity when you need it.

02 · Port Drayage

Port drayage from the terminal to the next stop.

Container moves from the port of delivery over a relatively short distance to their next destination: a DC, rail ramp, transload facility or final consignee. Carroll offers competitive port-to-door service across the country, with primary operations at Norfolk (VA), Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA) and Houston (TX). Our chassis and heavy-weight equipment cover shipments other drayage carriers turn away.

03 · Less-Than-Truckload

LTL — pay for the space you actually use.

LTL shipping moves smaller shipments that don’t require an entire trailer. The remaining space is used for freight from other shippers heading to the same or a nearby destination. You pay for the pallets, crates or product you actually loaded, nothing more. Carroll’s LTL service reaches anywhere in the continental United States.

04 · Heavy Hauling

Heavy hauling for the loads that don’t fit anywhere else.

American trucks move roughly 80% of gross freight revenue in the United States, and a meaningful share of that is heavy or oversized. Carroll’s heavy-haul equipment gives construction managers, manufacturers and state highway departments a partner who can permit, plan and move the shipments other carriers say no to.
